# Improve request titles and descriptions with AI

When you write a feature request in Featurevote, AI can rewrite the description to be clearer and suggest a fitting title.

When creating a feature request, AI can help you write clearer descriptions and generate fitting titles.

## How It Works

Write a description of at least 20 characters. Two AI options will appear:

**Enhance Description** — Rewrites your text to be clearer and more professional. Useful when you have a rough idea but want it polished.

**Generate Title** — Creates a title based on your description. Saves time and ensures the title matches what you wrote.

*Both AI actions appear once the description passes 20 characters.*

The AI's version appears as a suggestion next to your text. Click **Accept** to use it, or **Dismiss** to keep what you wrote.

## When to Use It

- You have a clear idea but struggle to articulate it
- You want consistent, professional language across requests
- You need a title but can't think of one
- You're in a hurry and want to speed things up

The AI works best when your initial description is specific. Vague input leads to vague output.

## Announcing Completed Features

When you mark a feature as "done", a completion dialog appears. It shows the request as your customer wrote it, with a release note below. The release note has its own **Title** and **Description**. Leave it empty and the request is used instead. Open **Generate Release Note** and click **Generate**, and the AI drafts the note from the request. Accept the draft, or edit it first.

The request itself is never rewritten. The post keeps your customer's words and shows the release note under them, in a **Shipped** block. Voters get the note in the completion email, and your next changelog uses it.

### What It Does

The AI turns a request into an announcement:

- "We need dark mode" becomes "You can now enable dark mode"
- "Can you add CSV export?" becomes "You can now export to CSV"
- "It would be great to have notifications" becomes "You now receive notifications"

It keeps the meaning and changes the tone, so the email reads like news rather than a reminder of what voters asked for. Read the draft before you send it. The AI can turn a hesitant "maybe" into a confident "you can now".

### Why Use It

Request wording ("we need..." or "can you add...") doesn't work well as an announcement. The release note says what shipped, while the post still shows what was asked for.
