— featurevote vs Featurebase

A Featurebase alternative for your feedback board.

If you need requests, votes, a roadmap and updates after shipping, featurevote covers that workflow with a permanent free plan and no seat-based billing. Featurebase goes further into customer support, a Help Center and revenue-based feedback analysis.

— The fit

Which workflow are you buying?

Choose featurevote when
You are a founder or small SaaS team keeping feedback in one board, inviting votes without accounts, and deciding what to build yourself. You want the same plan price as teammates join, and can keep your existing help desk.
Choose Featurebase when
You want feedback and customer support in one suite, or need engineering-tool integrations and customer revenue context. Its broader paid plans also cover support automation and team workflows.
Stay where you are when
Your current workflow works and its price fits your budget. Rebuilding a useful backlog and customer history can cost more time than a lower subscription saves.

— Capabilities

What do you get with each tool?

Both collect feedback and votes and show a roadmap. The plan that includes each capability matters as much as the checklist.

— Plans and limits

What changes the bill?

featurevote Free
Free forever. Your team manages 15 active requests; newer requests beyond the limit are locked for the team, while visitors keep submitting and voting. Completed and declined requests stop counting. Email notifications are capped at 50 recipients per send.
featurevote Growth
$9/month billed yearly ($108 per year), or $12 billed monthly. Unlimited active requests, no seat-based billing, and up to 500 email recipients per send. Pro raises that email cap to 1,000.
Featurebase Free
One seat, one feedback board and one roadmap, with unlimited posts and comments. A public Help Center is included. Feedback widgets, custom domains and a public changelog require Growth or above.
Featurebase Growth
$29 per seat/month billed yearly ($348 per year for each full seat). Includes five feedback boards and five roadmaps. Fibi costs an additional $0.49 per successful AI resolution. Higher plans add more boards and support controls.

For two full paid seats, Featurebase Growth’s base subscription works out to $696/year before AI usage or other add-ons. featurevote Growth is $108/year for the team. This is a subscription example, not an equivalent bundle: Featurebase includes a broader support suite.

Completion emails have another current limit: requests with more than 1,000 individual votes cannot send them, even if fewer voters provided an email. The recipient caps still apply to eligible requests.

featurevote branding remains on every plan. Custom domains are coming soon on Pro; they are not available today. Featurebase supports custom domains from Growth; removing its branding is a $69/month add-on on Professional or Enterprise. Check Featurebase pricing and featurevote pricing for current billing options and limits before choosing.

— Moving an existing board

What can you bring with you?

featurevote has no dedicated Featurebase board importer. Its contact CSV import does not import requests, votes, comments or the links between voters and requests.

Keep an export
Save the requests, statuses, comments, attachments and voter information your current plan lets you export. Check the result before closing the old account, and keep a read-only archive.
Try a small sample
Recreate a few representative requests and map their statuses. Test private requests, duplicates and attachments. Historical totals and voter associations need separate verification; do not assume they carry over.
Check the follow-up
Completion emails can reach voters identifiable on the new board, within your plan’s send cap and the 1,000-vote ceiling. Importing contacts does not reconnect them to historical votes. Inbox conversion creates a new request; it does not automate updates to every original conversation.
Plan the cutover
Replace your widget and board links, explain where ongoing requests live, and check which old URLs you can redirect. Agree who handles replies. Estimate the work from your sample rather than assuming a fixed migration time.

If preserving your full history is essential, keep your current board until you have verified a migration path. You can ask us about your backlog before deciding.
