The member gate: One switch makes voting, suggesting, and commenting patrons-only. Membership is checked against your campaign — no honor system, no list to maintain.
Tier-weighted votes: Each tier gets a weight you choose. The board shows the weighted total with the plain voter count next to it.
Tier badges on posts: Requests and comments carry the author’s paid tier next to their name — you see what your top supporters are asking for.
Stays in sync: When a member joins, changes tier, or cancels, their weight follows automatically. Votes already cast keep the weight they were cast with.
Non-patrons: you decide: Let visitors view the board without taking part, or lock it entirely — then the board itself is a patron perk.

— Why weight votes at all

Creators already weight votes. Usually by hand.

The workaround shows up all over Patreon: the same poll once per tier, results merged in a spreadsheet with a multiplier. The reason is fair — in an unweighted poll a $25 patron and a $3 patron count exactly the same. Weighting by tier ties each vote to the membership behind it. The board just does it live.

A poll asks once. A board keeps score.

Patreon’s own polls are right there in your post, and for a quick question they are the obvious tool. Where the two differ:

Who counts, and how much: A poll counts every voter the same. The board can count active patrons only, weighted by tier.
Where the options come from: A poll offers the options you wrote. On the board, patrons post their own requests too.
How long it lasts: A poll is a moment in the feed, and scrolls away with its post. The board is a standing list that keeps ranking itself.
What it tells you later: A closed poll answers one question once. The board keeps the whole backlog ranked and turns shipped items into a changelog.

Is this a weighted poll for Patreon?: Yes, one that stays open. You list the options, patrons vote, and each vote counts by tier. Patrons can also add ideas of their own.
Do my patrons need to create an account?: No. A patron clicks "Log in with Patreon" and approves it once on Patreon. No password, no email form, no separate account.
What happens when a patron upgrades, downgrades, or cancels?: Their vote weight follows automatically. Votes already cast keep the weight they were cast with — a cancellation never rewrites history.
Can free members take part?: Your call. A setting decides whether free-tier members can vote — at the free tier’s weight — or are treated like non-patrons.
Can people who are not patrons see the board?: Also a setting. Non-patrons can view without taking part, or the whole board can be patrons-only — visitors then see your campaign and a login button instead of the list.
Does Patreon allow this?: Yes. The board uses Patreon’s official API, and membership checks like this are exactly what it is for. You can disconnect at any time.
Can I use Patreon and Discord on the same board?: Yes. Connect both. With both gates on, the board shows both logins and someone who passes either one can take part. With only the Patreon gate on, only patrons can take part, and Discord just adds weight. A voter linked to both counts at the higher weight.
What does it cost?: Nothing separate — it is part of every Featurevote plan, including the free one. Patrons can suggest and vote as much as they like, and the free plan lets you manage 15 active items at a time. Paid plans remove that limit.
