Creators already weight votes. Usually by hand.

The workaround shows up all over Patreon: the same poll once per tier, results merged in a spreadsheet with a multiplier. The reason is fair — in an unweighted poll a $25 patron and a $3 patron count exactly the same. Weighting by tier ties each vote to the membership behind it. The board just does it live.

Who counts, and how much: A poll counts every voter the same. The board can count active patrons only, weighted by tier.
Where the options come from: A poll offers the options you wrote. On the board, patrons post their own requests too.
How long it lasts: A poll is a moment in the feed, and scrolls away with its post. The board is a standing list that keeps ranking itself.
