The member gate
One switch makes voting, suggesting, and commenting members-only. Membership is checked against your server — no honor system, no list to maintain.
Role-weighted votes
Each role gets a weight you choose. The board shows the weighted total, with the plain voter count next to it whenever the two differ. Only roles weighted above ×1 appear on the board — your server’s role structure stays private.
Works with your membership platform
If Patreon, Ko-fi, or a membership bot already assigns supporter roles in your server, weighting those roles weights those memberships — through one connection.
Checked at login
A member’s roles are read when they log in. On a members-only board a login lasts 30 days, so changes reach a gated board within a month. Votes already cast keep the weight they were cast with.
Non-members: you decide
Let visitors view the board without taking part, or lock it entirely — then the board itself is a perk of your server.
Members without a role: you decide
They can take part, counting ×1 — or be treated like non-members, so the board belongs to role holders. One dropdown.

— Why roles

Your roles already know who your supporters are.

Many communities already mirror supporter status into Discord roles — from Patreon, Ko-fi, YouTube memberships, or a community bot — so the role list is the one place every kind of membership shows up. Weighting votes by role puts that to work: whoever runs your memberships, their supporters count for more on your board, without a separate integration for each platform.

Discord’s own polls are right there in your channel, and for a quick question they are the obvious tool. Where the two differ:

Who counts, and how much
A channel poll counts every click the same. The board can count members only, weighted by role.
Where the options come from
A poll offers the options you wrote. On the board, members post their own requests too.
How long it lasts
A poll is a moment in the channel, and scrolls away with it. The board is a standing list that keeps ranking itself.
What it tells you later
A closed poll answers one question once. The board keeps the whole backlog ranked and turns shipped items into a changelog.

Do my members need to create an account?
No. A member clicks "Continue with Discord" and approves it once on Discord. No password, no email form, no separate account.
What does the bot do in my server?
It joins with zero permissions and reads the role list — that is all. It never reads messages, never posts, and cannot moderate anything. Adding it requires the Manage Server permission on your Discord account.
What happens when someone changes roles, or leaves the server?
Membership and roles are checked when a member logs in on the board. On a members-only board a login lasts 30 days, so a change on Discord reaches a gated board within 30 days. With the gate off, a linked member keeps their last-read weight until their next login. Votes already cast always keep the weight they were cast with.
Can members without any role take part?
Your call. By default they can vote, counting ×1. Set them to "Same as non-members" and only members holding a role can take part.
Can people outside the server see the board?
Also a setting. Non-members can view without taking part, or the whole board can be members-only — visitors then see your server name and a login button instead of the list.
Can I use Discord and Patreon on the same board?
A board runs on one weight source, so it is one or the other. If Patreon (or Ko-fi, or a membership bot) already assigns supporter roles in your server, connect Discord and weight those roles — you get the same effect through one connection.
What does it cost?
Nothing separate — it is part of every Featurevote plan. The free plan runs a public board with up to 15 active items; paid plans raise them.
