Feature voting weighted by Discord roles

Narrated with an AI-generated voice.

A FeatureVote board for a Discord community. Visitors log in with Discord to vote, with no signup and no password. A member with the Legend role has a vote that counts three times, and the roadmap shows what is planned, in progress and shipped. Setup is one connect: a bot with no permissions joins the server, the roles come over, and each role gets a weight. The board can also be members only.

Transcript

This is a feature board for a Discord community. Members vote on what gets built next.

Voting is for members of the server. Anyone else is asked to log in with Discord first. No signup and no password.

This is what a logged in member sees. The board knows who they are and which roles they hold.

Votes are weighted by role. Maya has the Legend role, so her one vote counts three times.

The roadmap shows what is planned, what is in progress, and what has shipped.

Setup is one connect. A small bot with no permissions joins your server, your roles come over, and you choose how much each one counts.

If Patreon or Ko-fi already gives your supporters a role, the board weights those memberships too.

Roles are checked when a member logs in. Votes already cast keep the weight they were cast with.

You can also make the whole board members only. Then the board itself is a perk of your server.

This is live in FeatureVote today. It works with the roles your server already has.
