Connect your Patreon campaign to a feature board where patrons log in with Patreon and their votes are weighted by tier. Here is how it works.
The workaround shows up all over Patreon. A creator wants to know what to make next, so they post the same poll once per tier and merge the results in a spreadsheet, with a multiplier for the higher tiers. The instinct is right — in a flat poll a $25 patron and a $3 patron count exactly the same. The spreadsheet is the part that should go.
Featurevote's Patreon integration does that arithmetic live, on a standing board where patrons also post their own ideas. Connect your campaign, flip one switch, and only active patrons can vote.
Votes weighted by your tiers
Each tier gets a multiplier you choose, from ×1 to ×100. A vote from a Gold patron can count three times what a Bronze vote does — your call, changeable any time.
The board shows both numbers — the weighted points and the plain voter count — so nobody has to guess why a request with three voters ranks above one with four. And an upgrade only changes what a patron's vote is worth from now on. Votes already cast keep the weight they were cast at.
Patrons log in with Patreon
No new account, no password, no email form. A patron clicks Log in with Patreon, approves once, and is in. The board greets them with one quiet line: "Voting as a Gold patron. Your vote counts ×3."
On a patrons-only board, their requests and comments carry their Patreon name and a small tier badge — so you can see at a glance what your top supporters are asking for.
You decide who else gets in
Leave the board open to everyone, let outsiders read while patrons vote, or lock it entirely — then the board itself becomes a patron perk, and visitors see your campaign, your patron count, and a login button.
Free members get their own setting too — count their votes at the free tier's weight, or treat them like non-patrons.
It follows your memberships
When a patron upgrades, downgrades or cancels, Patreon tells the board and their vote weight follows within seconds — no list to maintain by hand. Membership is checked against your campaign through Patreon's official API. It never posts to your page, never sees payment details, and you can disconnect at any time.
Why not just a poll?
For a quick either-or question, a Patreon poll is still the right tool. The difference is that a poll asks once and scrolls away with its post. The board is a standing list: patrons add ideas year-round, the ranking updates with every vote, and shipped items become a changelog your patrons can see.
Setup takes three steps
- Connect — in Settings → Integrations, click Connect Patreon and approve on Patreon. Your published tiers come over with it.
- Set the weights — each tier starts at a default by price. Change any of them.
- Flip Patrons only, hit Save, and share the link.
